Hi  My name is Alex and I’m joining the SAT team as a secondary English tutor.I have been teaching in an educational setting now for four years. I have taught in several schools within West Yorkshire as well as having experience in private tuition.I completed a Masters Degree in English and Politics and recently completed my PGCE Qualification in Secondary School English in July 2019 . It was throughout this year that I concluded that I wanted to make the utmost difference to my students lives helping them to reach their goals and broaden their horizons. I therefore develop, produce and implement personalised and creative sessions which are both informative as well as interesting and engaging to my students.

 

I have experience in teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5 (11-18 years old) English Literature and Language. I am familiar with both OCR and AQA examination boards in English Literature and Language however, I am also willing to teach Politics and Media up to GCSE.

 

My tutoring style is friendly, approachable and always encouraging my students to learn through debate, discussion and a range of multi media resources but I also require my students to challenge and set ambitious targets for themselves with the aim of them achieving their goals.

 

I am willing to teach online as well as face to face tuition. I look forward to meeting you at our first tuition session.
