EOTAS.
- Innovators of Education -
Education other than at school (EOTAS) means the education or special educational provision of children or young people outside of a formal educational setting. It can be only be agreed in conjunction with the Local Authority via an EHC needs assessment, a reassessment of needs or at your EHCP annual review.
Not only can we support your child with their EOTAS provision, but we also work with specialists to ensure that they receive a well-rounded education.
“EOTAS makes educational provision for children with social, emotional behavioural, medical or other issues who, without its provision, cannot access suitable education.” https://www.education-ni.gov.uk/articles/education-outside-school
Your EOTAS Journey at Learn With SAT
Step 1 involves evaluating the funding designated for the child, focusing on determining the appropriate parameters for sessions, including amount, subjects, and duration. Following this, we engage in discussions with parents to understand their child's EHCP requirements thoroughly. This collaborative approach allows us to tailor our search for tutors who are not only academically suited but also align with the child's personality, interests, and Special Educational Needs (SEN) profile.
Moving on to STEP 2, we dedicate time to provide comprehensive training for our tutors, ensuring they grasp the intricacies of the EHCP. This training empowers them with the knowledge needed to understand your child's specific requirements, facilitating the achievement of EHCP objectives.
Moving forward to STEP 3, our next priority is crafting a timetable that revolves around your availability. This guarantees that your child receives optimal education during times that are most convenient for them. We actively involve you in discussing, modifying, or adjusting the lesson content to align with your child's interests, all while ensuring compliance with the Local Authority's (LA) objectives.
