I am an experienced teacher of geography, teaching  in a range of secondary schools in the UK for 30 years. For the last 20 years I have taught in a selective grammar school, where I was the Head of Geography.

I became a teacher after completing my geography degree. I have always loved the subject and want to share my knowledge and passion with others.

I have taught geography to KS3,4 and 5 students. At GCSE and A level I have taught a variety of exam board specifications (including AQA, Edexcel and Cambridge International) up to and including Oxbridge entrance standard.

Over my 30 year school career I have gained extensive experience  teaching students of all abilities and learning needs, working with and supporting  them to achieve their academic goals.

For the last year I have enjoyed the experience of being an Online Geography teacher, working to support students from age 11 to 18, who are unable to access mainstream education. This has provided me with the specific skills  to support the individual progress of students who are experiencing a range of challenges to learning.

My lessons are designed to be interactive, engaging and topical, applying the most current geographical events from the UK and around the world  to make the learning of the  subject relevant and interesting.
I ensure that my lessons are tailored to the needs of each student, where the resources,  pace and degree of challenge are matched to the individual.
