Hello! My name is Sammie-Jo, I am joining the team as an Education Assistant, I have completed a degree in Special Educational Needs, Disability and Inclusive Practice, with a keen interest in Autism. I have over 10 years of experience with special needs, ranging from physical and life limiting disorders to mental health and neurological differences. I believe every child deserves an education in a way that supports their individual need wherever possible.

I love English, my family would agree with the astonishing number of books that take up our home, but I am always happy to learn new things from our amazing young people’s special interests!

My own teaching and support style is purely adaptable, depending on the level of support needed I feel being child centred works best. I have personal and clinical experience with SEN, this provides me with insight from both sides and gives me the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams extremely well.
